In order to verify the anticancer activity of Laminaran batch-separated from brown seaweeds through animal experiments, carcinogen (DMH)was input to a F344 white male rat as an animal model for the anticancer activity experiments, a 4-weel breeding experiment using food including Laminaran was performed, and a large bowel cancer precancerous step lesion was finely investigate. As a result of the investigation, in terms of the number of aberrant crypt (AC) and the number of aberrant crypt foci (ACF), the test group and control were respectively 58.2 % (AC) and 54.7 % (ACF) in food including sea tangle Laminaran, the test group and control were respectively 59.1 %(AC) and 57.2 %(ACF) in lindera glauca Laminaran, and the test group and control were respectively 60.4 %(AC) and 58.8 %(ACF) in a kind of rhubarb Laminaran. Accordingly, it was found that the test group had an effect of prohibiting the occurrence of tumor.
