Stratus Technologies has re-established a direct sales and marketing presence in Korea under the direction of Steve Lee, sales manager. Mr. Lee is charged with developing and expanding business opportunities for Stratus in Asia's fourth largest economy. Responsibilities include recruiting and supporting new channel partners with diverse IT expertise, serving a range of industries and markets, to sell Stratus solutions for uptime assurance.
Stratus opened its first office in Korea in 1989. Since January 2009, the company has been represented there by a distributor. Prior to that, Mr. Lee served as Korea sales manager for Stratus from 2003 to 2008. He rejoins the company from Hyosung Information Systems, where he had been sales manager of the telecommunications and media business.

"His knowledge of the business and competitive landscape, as well as his Stratus experience, is essential to achieving our strategic goals. Equally important, Steve has proven ability to ensure that customers in Korea are completely satisfied with products and services from Stratus and its channel partners."
Today, Stratus customers in Korea include companies in telecommunications, financial services, manufacturing, hospitals and healthcare, utilities, and broadcasting. Stratus offers a range of products and services that deliver uptime assurance for critical applications and business processes.

We rely on Stratus systems to protect us from IT downtime and data loss," said Seung on Yoon, IT R&D manager for this credit card transaction processing company. "Knowing that the company is investing in Korea and establishing an office here again demonstrates a commitment to our company and country."
