Subject : Korean Intellectual Property Office Uses Mascot Characters ¡®KiKi and PoPo¡¯ |

The Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) announced that it developed and has begun to use ¡®Kiki¡¯ and ¡®Popo¡¯ as its mascot characters.
The two mascot characters maintain consistency with the image of KIPO while also connecting with its logo and English name. The KIPO has developed the mascot characters for the purpose of positively enhancing its image and fostering public affinity.
The mascot characters will be actively utilized for a wide range of events as well as on souvenirs, the Internet notices, publications, and elsewhere as symbols of the KIPO with the logo for the future.
Young-sik, Son, director of the Customer Support Division, said ¡°Angbu Il-gu, a sundial which conveys our ancestoers¡¯ passion for invention and creativity, is reflected in the KIPO logo, which is now embodied in these new mascot characters. The KIPO will strive to enhance public awareness of intellectual property rights through the newly introduced KiKi and PoPo¡±. |
