According to the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), the application process for patents, trademarks, and designs will become easier for the applicants, starting next year.
This is because they can be filed in foreign patent offices as long as the applicants have their documents translated.
The application system for designs has become customer-oriented, where unnecessary drawings can now be omitted in the application package.
