Nowon district of Seoul announced that they have successfully developed “Voice Navi System” which is a navigation system for the visually-impaired persons.
This system provides voice information for the optimal route to a specified destination.
However, obstacles and generally used routes and directions have to be entered in beforehand.
Additional information regarding changed geography and streets has to continually be upgraded as well.
Nowon district believes that this navigation system can be supplied to a wide range of visually-impaired persons because the terminal can be purchased for lower than KRW 1 million.
