A Korean wireless communication technology, binary CDMA, was designated as an international standard, signaling optimism for Korean wireless products.
Ministry of Knowledge Economy announced that the binary CDMA technology was finally enacted as ISO international standards after four years of technological evaluation.

Korean Electronics Technology Institute, responsible for the development of binary CDMA technology, stated that foundations for entering the world market have been established through the acquirement of international standards.
